LAMT × AMDA 2026 Online Masterclass with Wendy Rosoff

This March, LAMT Musical has been officially invited by the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) to co-host an online musical theatre masterclass. The timing is deliberately set just before the Asian auditions, giving students the chance to be evaluated and refined under the American training standard before they step into a real audition room.
If you are preparing for overseas applications, you will understand the difference: practising alone versus receiving one-on-one guidance with professional coaches, honing every detail, results in a completely different pace of growth.

Wendy Rosoff: From Broadway Stages to Screen
The Masterclass will be led by Wendy Rosoff, a practitioner who is as comfortable on stage and screen as she is in the classroom.
Wendy has performed in Broadway productions such as 42nd Street, appeared at Carnegie Hall in My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies, and played leading roles in productions including White Christmas. She is also active in television, with credits including:Criminal Minds, Shameless, The Good Place and Veep.
Beyond performing, Wendy has extensive teaching and directing experience. As a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity, she understands the culture of auditions and recognises common student blind spots. Her feedback goes beyond “how well you sing” — she focuses on whether your character truly comes to life in your performance.

About AMDA: Training Performers Ready for the Industry
Founded in 1964, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy has campuses in New York City and Los Angeles and is one of the US’s most established and practice-oriented performing arts institutions.
AMDA’s programmes are designed not just to develop individual skills but to build complete performers, including:
- Voice and speech techniques
- Physical and dance training
- Character analysis and text work
- Stage and screen performance skills
The school emphasises intensive rehearsal schedules and practical performance opportunities, giving students plenty of stage experience during their training. For those aiming for Broadway or screen work, AMDA provides a highly direct professional pathway. This Masterclass brings a condensed version of that training philosophy directly to you.

The True Value of This Masterclass
Many students work hard before auditions — songs rehearsed, monologues memorised — but what often determines the outcome are the finer details.
Does your song choice reflect a clear artistic identity?
Are your character objectives specific and actionable?
Does your story have layers beyond raw emotion?
Do you understand what an American panel is seeking in terms of potential?
The value of this Masterclass is not simply to perform once. It is to be refined under professional standards before your real audition. If you are ready to step onto the international stage, this is a mature choice: a chance to align yourself with a higher benchmark before your audition.
