Leonie studied Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the wing of Mary Hammond and Dan Bowling. She graduated with distinction, winning a DipRAM award for her final performance. Prior to moving to London, she had earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Theatre at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in the Netherlands.

Right after finishing her studies, Leonie originated the role of Lorna in the new Irish musical SISTERS in Dublin, Ireland. Her next professional engagement brought her to Germany, where she portrayed Sally Bowles in the musical CABARET. Leonie is currently understudying Christine Daaé in Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in Vienna, which will be running until June 2025. Having worked and studied in five different countries, Leonie is fluent in English, German and Dutch. She has been working as a singing teacher for the past five years.
